The Carapace casing runs Kevlar protection bead to bead across both tread and sidewall, a step up from the standard HEX's sub-tread barrier for riders prioritizing flat protection on rougher terrain. The added protection sits on the same hexagonal tread platform, so the three-way flex and cornering bite that define the HEX line carry over unchanged.
