a bit bulkier than I like
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
The waistband area is bulky. Lots of sewn-in elastic, about 2" tall and wrapping around the sides and back. I returned them before use, as I prefer a lighter feel/fit.

Comfortable and the leg vents work well. The short sheds water and dirt well.

Solid pair of shorts for the price. Love the chamois liner and belt that come with. They feel solid enough that they will last a long time but aren’t too hot on warmer rides in Colorado. Vents come in handy. Lots of pockets for the essentials. Overall a great pair of shorts.

I've never owned a pair of MTB shorts until I bought these and I am very impressed. I like the built-in belt and liner shorts that snap into place. They have plenty of pockets, but there are no zippered cargo pockets (those are actually vents). The only pockets that are zippered are the hand pockets and one of the rear pockets (I guess for your wallet). The cargo pockets on the back of each leg just have a flap. I took them out on a 3-hour ride and they were very comfortable; the chamois was more than adequate. It was a perfect weather day with temps in the low 70s; so, I left the vents open and stayed comfortable throughout the ride. The fit was kind of tricky with these. According to the chart, my waist size (32-33 depending on the cut) is small; that just didn't seem right. I'm 6'1" around 170lbs and I've never worn a small anything. So, I ordered a medium and they fit perfect. I hope this helps.
