Crankbrothers pairs an Industry Nine 1/1 hub with an alloy rim in the Synthesis XCT 1/1 Alloy Boost Wheel, a 29in mountain bike wheel for cross-country riding and racing. The front rim runs a wider inner width to support a wider tire profile, and the rear rim runs a narrower inner width to sharpen the tire edge and improve rolling resistance. A welded and sleeved joint reinforces each rim.
