When our training calendar includes threshold efforts in cold, windy conditions, the Craft Active Extreme X Wind Hat gives us the focused protection we need without sacrificing airflow. The body of the hat is built from lightweight SEAQUAL polyester blended with recycled fibers, using upcycled marine plastics to create a soft, fast-drying knit that sits comfortably next to skin and fits cleanly beneath helmets and hoods. Coolmax Air Technology fibers with a propeller-shaped cross-section increase surface area for faster moisture dispersion, helping our body regulate temperature as intensity surges and settles.

Up front, an elastic wind-protective panel blocks the brunt of the breeze across exposed areas, reducing the sting on fast descents or ridge-line efforts while the rest of the hat remains highly breathable. Channel-knitted construction accelerates moisture transport away from our scalp, keeping sweat from pooling and reducing the risk of post-interval chills. Flatlock seams minimize bulk and pressure points under helmet straps, and the tight, ergonomic fit holds steady when we turn our head, sprint out of the saddle, or drop into a tuck.
