Cervelo S5 Ultegra Di2 holds shift precision over long rides

The Cervelo S5 Ultegra Di2 runs Shimano's 12-speed Ultegra Di2 groupset, a 52/36T crank paired with an 11-34T cassette, on a carbon frame that Cervelo says trims over 6 watts and about 124 grams from the outgoing S5. The gains concentrate at the fork and head tube, where the one-piece HB19 bar and stem replaces the outgoing two-piece front end and tightens tolerances without adding a second set of bolts to torque. It pairs Ultegra's electronic shifting with a bolt-on 4iiii dual-sided power meter rather than a crank-integrated unit.

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"A structured interval session puts the Ultegra Di2 through dozens of shifts in a single ride, and the last one lands as cleanly as the first. That consistency means I'm never troubleshooting a shift when I should be focused on hitting the next interval."

Heads up! We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning, and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you'll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearhead® Experts are always here to help.
