The Cervélo Áspero GRX is a purpose-built gravel race machine, designed to deliver uncompromising speed across rugged terrain while maintaining rider efficiency over long distances. Cervélo optimized aerodynamics not simply for top-end velocity, but to conserve energy over the course of a demanding event. That means fewer watts wasted in headwinds and a smoother ride that translates to fresher legs when it matters most.

Built on Cervélo’s advanced carbon frame, the Áspero features dropped seat stays for rear-end compliance and slightly reduced front-end stiffness for comfort on all-day grinds. The frame integrates a T47a threaded bottom bracket for rider-friendly serviceability while maintaining torsional rigidity, and a Universal Derailleur Hanger ensures compatibility with SRAM’s latest Transmission drivetrains. Internal cable routing borrowed from Cervélo’s top road models keeps the cockpit sleek and aerodynamic while still offering modular options for future upgrades.

The build kit centers around Shimano’s 12-speed GRX RX825 drivetrain, matched with a wide-range 10–51T XT cassette for tackling punishing climbs without losing speed on the flats. A Wolf Tooth 44T chainring balances race efficiency with versatility, while the inclusion of a 4iiii Precision power meter helps track and manage efforts. Reserve carbon wheels paired with DT Swiss 370 hubs and WTB Vulpine tires provide tubeless-ready speed and traction, optimized for the varied surfaces of competitive gravel racing.

With clearance for 700c x 45mm or 650b x 47mm tires, the Áspero adapts to race-day conditions or adventure-style setups. Whether it’s toeing the line at Unbound Gravel, crushing a local series, or exploring unmarked farm roads, the Cervélo Áspero GRX is built to push the limits of gravel performance.
