Staff Rides: Todd’s Ridleys
When it comes to his bikes, our Senior Sales Manager Todd Anderson is a road racer through and through. He appreciates a bike that’s lively and responsive, and needs it to be reliable to hold up to the daily grind. And between his years spent pinning on number plates and his time in the industry, he’s developed an eye for detail that’s keener than most. His latest builds, a pair of his and hers Ridley Noah Fasts he curated for himself and his fiancee, showcase Todd’s tastes to a T, seamlessly blending workhorse spirit and show pony looks.
These builds started from the need for fast, versatile race bikes that would be equally at home covering ground in the flats as lapping the mountain roads of Utah’s Wasatch Front. The Noah’s aerodynamic frame profiling makes it faster out by the Great Salt Lake, but unlike some bikes with more aggressive aero profiling, the Noah also feels stable in the face of the unpredictable crosswinds you sometimes get on our local canyon descents.
As for the build? Todd cites the flawless shifting and sculpted ergos of the Campagnolo Super Record 12 EPS groupset when he says “it functions amazing. And it’s beautiful.” You’ll find a few personal differences between the bikes beyond the his-and-hers custom paint jobs. But the Speedplay pedals, Vittoria tubeless tires, and finishing bits from Ceramic Speed tie this pair together nicely.
