Outpost HB Roll Bag
A good handlebar bag is all you need to carry that extra chunk of vital gear for that excursion you're planning, and the Blackburn Outpost HB Roll Bag is about as smart as they come. The bag rolls closed at both ends and secures with buckles. The red strap that secures it to the bar mount doubles as a shoulder strap off the bike, and there are auxiliary exterior tie-downs for clipping extra gear to the outside of it if necessary.
- Quick release mounts fits most handlebars
- Red compression webbing also works as a shoulder strap off the bike
- Closure is secured with buckles
- Exterior tie-downs for lashing additional gear to the bag

Used this on a quick climbing/bike touring trip from SLC to Maple Canyon. This little guy was one of the most worthwhile bike packing items i've ever owned. I was able to cram my Sierra Design Backcountry Bivy, Therm-a-rest NeoAir, extra shirt, rain jacket, snacks, headlamp, Gopro, Goalzero Venture 30, my ipod in there with room to spare and the carabiner loops were perfect for hooking my Goalzero solar panels to. PLUS, it's an excellent pillow.

Keeps the weight nice and centered. Easy to maneuver and just enough room for all your stuff.

Like most all things that are rolled this HB roll doesn't disappoint. An easy solution to add some cargo capacity to your bike without adding a lot of weight. When you get to camp it takes about 4.3 seconds to remove bag from the bike. For bikepacking this bag is almost perfect. Pros: -Hauls a fair amount of stuff. (I fit sleeping bag, neo air, and bivy) -Relatively stable. -Mounts easily. (mounted on both mtn and drop bar without issue) -Quick to remove and attach load when at campsite. -Mounting bracket spaces roll far enough off bar to allow room for cables and hoses. -Bag rolls from both ends to easily adjust volume. -Roll top bag velcros to harness to hold it in place while you do up straps. Cons: -Not waterproof. Seriously? The bag is relatively thick and durable. It is water resistant, but it should be water proof. It is nice that it allows you use whatever dry bag you want in it, but they should have just made the included bag water proof. -Bounces up and down a little, but handles singletrack fine. -Mounting bracket is multiple plastic pieces. Long term durability may be an issue. Considering everything I would definitely recommend bag. Over 300 miles in and I have had no issues.
