Dual Sided Crombie Tool

Cassette lockrings are one part of your bike that requires you to use a specialized tool if you plan on installing or removing a cassette. Abbey Bike Tools updates the ever popular Dual Sided Crombie Tool improving its use on thru-axle equipped bikes.

This tool combines both the Shimano/SRAM standard lockring tool on one side with a larger piloting pin to fit in 12mm thru-axles. The other end is the same Shimano/SRAM fitment, sans pilot pin, and has a hole deep enough to bypass most quick-release skewer nuts. A long handle provides ample leverage while removing stubborn lock rings and the tool's long splines provide plenty of purchase on soft, aluminum lock rings.

The Abbey Bike Works Dual Sided Crombie Tool is constructed from stainless steel and is only compatible with Shimano and SRAM cassettes and rotor lockrings.

Please note that this tool isn't Campagnolo compatible like the standard, non-thru-axle Crombie.

  • Stainless steel lockring tool for cassettes and rotors
  • Deep splines are safe with alloy lock rings
  • Dual-sided Shimano/SRAM tool for quick-release and thru-axle

Very well made

I've put it through the wringer

This is my first time getting anything from Abbey Tools and wow am I impressed. Super well made and incredibly convenient. I feel like I’m going to have this for the rest of my life and it will look brand new the entire time. Definitely worth picking up if you swap cassettes often or just hate fiddling with the smaller ‘head only’ versions.

Extremely convenient

I've put it through the wringer

So much nicer for center lock and shimano cassette lock rings than using the Park lock ring tool with a wrench. Less tools to fumble with and a bit easier to find when you need it. I have 2 of the black park style ones and I usually spend 20-30 minutes trying to locate one of them. The Abbey tool just hangs from my pegboard and the shiny finish stands out. The centering side really helps to get those cassette lock rings on nice and straight with less chance of cross threading on thru axle bikes.

Will this work for SRAM eTap AXS Cassettes? The SRAM user manual says that Cassette lockring tool splines must fully engage the cassette locktube. Splines must be a minimum of 7 mm in length for XDR cassettes.

Never travel without

I've put it through the wringer

I love the Abbey tools for my traveling soft toolbox. This slides easily with the chain whip and I can take it everywhere with me. This is lightweight and strong and has a perfect fit so I never slip or struggle with cassette removal and installation
