A Lockring Tool You'll Be Proud To Own.

Cassette lockrings are one part of your bike that requires you to use a specialized tool if you plan on installing or removing a cassette. Abbey Bike Tools updates the ever popular Dual Sided Crombie Tool improving its use on thru-axle equipped bikes.

This tool combines both the Shimano/SRAM standard lockring tool on one side with a larger piloting pin to fit in 12mm thru-axles. The other end is the same Shimano/SRAM fitment, sans pilot pin, and has a hole deep enough to bypass most quick-release skewer nuts. A long handle provides ample leverage while removing stubborn lock rings and the tool's long splines provide plenty of purchase on soft, aluminum lock rings.

The Abbey Bike Works Dual Sided Crombie Tool is constructed from stainless steel and is only compatible with Shimano and SRAM cassettes and rotor lockrings.

Please note that this tool isn't Campagnolo compatible like the standard, non-thru-axle Crombie.

  • Stainless steel lockring tool for cassettes and rotors
  • Deep splines are safe with alloy lock rings
  • Dual-sided Shimano/SRAM tool for quick-release and thru-axle

Will this work for SRAM eTap AXS Cassettes? The SRAM user manual says that Cassette lockring tool splines must fully
engage the cassette locktube. Splines must
be a minimum of 7 mm in length for XDR

Never travel without

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love the Abbey tools for my traveling soft toolbox. This slides easily with the chain whip and I can take it everywhere with me.
This is lightweight and strong and has a perfect fit so I never slip or struggle with cassette removal and installation
