Mezcal III G2.0 XC-Trail Tire

Vittoria's Mezcal III G2.0 XC-Trail Tire is a fast rolling mountain tire that adds an injection of speed to any ride or race. Featuring a densely packed, low profile knob configuration and an alternating center-ridge tread, you'll reap the benefits of improved efficiency on smooth hardpack and demanding singletrack alike. This version of the Mezcal incorporates Vittoria's XC-Trail TNT construction, which is compatible with tubes and, thanks to its folding aramid bead, sealant-based tubeless systems as well.

It's constructed of a 120TPI nylon casing for light weight with an additional sidewall protection layer so your ride isn't cut short because of well, a sidewall cut. This tire also boasts Vittoria's new Graphene 2.0 compound using 4 separate durometers for the best combination of wet grip, rolling resistance, cornering stability, and longevity. Graphene 2.0 basically takes the original Graphene compound foundation that Vittoria previously used, and improves upon the metrics in every conceivable category.

Great Back Tire for Dry Conditions

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This is one of my favorite tires to use on Idaho trails that aren't too chunky or technical when everything is nice and dry. Hardpan, loose over hard, even loose are no problem for this tire as rolling resistance is low and cornering is smooth and predictable. Just as important, the tire is surprisingly light and durable--I've worn out several in my day but never tore out treadblocks or ripped a sidewall. Also, the large-volume casing translates to lower PSIs and less bouncing through scree fields and root traps. However, I would advise against using these as a front tire and would instead opt for something a bit meatier and more aggressive. Also, please take care in or near mud as the small knobs and tight spacing mean they pack up almost immediately. Even early morning "grease" will be too much for them!

Great tyres

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Loved the tyres, grip and fast rolling capacities. But due the the defect of the manufacturer (I believe so) it is loosing air all the time. It is loosing from the small barb. Okay for riding the whole day, but had to pump it everyday. It is annoying. Now, it is completely flat.

Great XC Tires

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These are great tires for XC riding. I purchased these tires as a replacement for the Enduro tires I was running for faster rolling on my local XC trails and they have been much better in terms of rolling resistance but still offer pretty good grip for the trails I ride most of the time Would not recommend for gravity oriented riding.
