XX1 Chainring

SRAM's XX1 is a fresh approach to drivetrain designs that builds on proven, and preferred, principles of established riders and racers alike. One-by setups are nothing new, but none have offered the ratio spread, chain retention, and performance driven technology that this 11-speed group does. The single front chainring, in fact, packs as much design time as some multiple-cog cassettes.

Take a look at the tooth profile, and its shape is decidedly unique. This isn't your run of the mill single-speed ring. The contours are designed to optimize the chain-to-ring interface for holding the chain on, and each tooth's thickness alternates to match the inside width of inner and outer links. No other chainring on the market does this.

Another unique feature is that the ring is threaded. You won't find traditional two-piece bolts here, the bolts thread directly into the ring. This eliminates the 'nut' for reduced weight and a stiffer interface with XX1 crank arms. Even the tabs are machined to interlock with the spider for reduced load on the bolts themselves.

The rings are only compatible with XX1 cranks and 11-speed chains. SRAM's CNC-machined alloy XX1 Chainrings come in six sizes: 28T, 30T, 32T, 34T, 36T, 38T.
