GX Eagle 12-Speed GXP Direct Mount Crankset

Upon Eagle's introduction to the market, SRAM blew us away with the 500% gear range afforded by the massive Eagle cassette, as well as the powerful output of its XO1 and XX1 cranksets to go along with the package. Now that we're accustomed to premium builds being kitted out with Eagle, it's refreshing to see SRAM offering it at a palatable price for trail riders on a budget. Following the trend of more bang for your buck, SRAM created the GX Eagle 12-Speed GXP Direct Mount Crankset as a price-conscious alternative to fancier XO1 and XX1 Cranksets belonging to Eagle.

Not only does it seamlessly match the budget-friendly GX Eagle Group, but it's also fully compatible with the higher-end XO1 and XX1 Eagle offerings, should you suffer a catastrophic crash and need a low-cost replacement to get you back out and riding. Instead of employing fancier carbon constriction, the GX Eagle Crankset features 7000-series aluminum arms for an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. This design shaves about 70 grams from the previous GX Crankset for 1x11 drivetrains, showcasing SRAM's commitment to continual improvements in product design.

The X-Sync 2-tooth chainring design maintains chain tension with its variable thickness teeth, meaning you won't have to worry about dropped chains when you're rallying over rough stretches of trail. Its direct mount interface allows you to quickly swap chainring sizes, should you desire to go the aftermarket route for additional gearing options. This particular version has a 49-millimeter chainline for traditional axle spacing (non-BOOST), as well as a 24/22-millimeter spindle diameter for GXP bottom brackets.
