Now Riding Rocky Mountain

Born for the ride in 1981

What is it about our neighbors to the north? When we sat down with the Vancouver-based Rocky Mountain brand to bring them on board, the home-grown, of-the-earth spirit they carry was everywhere. Self-described as a group of cycling weirdos, they bring their passion and expertise to the design table for every bike that rolls out of Rocky Mountain. They’re the kind of people you’d always want on the ride and who’d be the first to offer you a cold one out of the cooler afterward.

With bikes made for every mountain and every rider, there’s a lot to unpack about what Rocky Mountain brings to the trails, so let’s jump in.

The Altitude bike stands in profile in snowy mountain terrain. Text: discipline, enduro; travel, 170mm front, 160mm rear; wheel size, 29”, 27.5” frame-size dependent.

Altitude

If you’re the type whose ride doesn’t begin until you’re at the top of the mountain, the all-new Altitude is calling your name. Faster climbing, stiffer cornering, and plush, quiet, balanced traveling give you the competitive edge and the specs for pushing your skills in every session.

The Element bike stands in a grassy field. Text: discipline, cross-country; travel, 130mm front, 120mm rear; wheel size, 29”, 27.5” frame-size dependent.

Element

Element is a bike a lot of riders will enjoy. Playfully engineered as a cross-country bike but with travel like a light-trail bike, it tackles endless terrain without making you feel under- or over-biked. Climb like a billy goat and descend like a demon.
