Great product
I've been super happy with this bladder for the past few years. I recently bought a new one that needed to be replaced within a couple months, customer service was excellent and sent me a new one right away! I find this bladder really easy to flip inside out to clean too. Highly recommend. I'll be sticking with Nathan products!

Unfortunate failures .. original plus replaced
I've now went through 2 of these 1.8l bladders in just 4 runs with them due to early failures of the bladder itself. In both cases, the seam just below the hourglass shape opened up and sprung a leak right out the side of the bladder dumping 90% of the contents of the bladder in a few minutes. This happened with the first bladder on the very first run I took with it after about 11 miles of a 20mi run - no falls, no unusual use, just a plain long run. Nathan was GREAT in replacing the failed bladder immediately and I was excited to give it another go. Sadly, the replacement failed almost exactly at the same seam location just below the narrowest point of the hourglass design on the 1st refill during a trail ultra race. This appears to be a design or manufacturing issue. Nathan has been great and replaced the 2nd failed bladder with the 1.6l insulated bladder so I am hopeful I have better results.

Developed Leak at Seam After Just One Week of Use
Design is great, but quality control is questionable. My VaporKrar vest worked great with the bladder that came with it for two years. After a lot of use (and the eventual Gatorade stains), I ordered a replacement bladder (same model bladder). Took it on a two-week hiking/running trip in Italy for its first use. After just one week of use, it developed a major leak at the seam and drained all 1.8 liters down my backside. Disappointing for a brand new bladder. (Fortunately, the front pockets on the VaporKrar supported water bottles to get me through the rest of the trip.)

Great until it gets moldy
This bladder came with a running vest I purchased earlier this year. I loved that the design helped with sloshing and the wide mouth makes it so easy to fill. Problem is that the tabs on the inside of the bladder that hold the "sling" in place are sealed but that seal is not water tight--and liquid seeps behind the tab and as a result it started to develop mildew after just a few months of use--and I cannot access the mildew to clean (even if I turn the bladder inside out--which is a handy feature for thorough cleaning of every other part of the bladder)

Moldy bits
I have had this bladder for over a year. I like the decrease in slosh. I like the quick disconnect for the hose. Problem is water or whatever you are drinking gets behind the little knobs that hold the plastic flap in place inside the reservoir and eventually mold will grow.

Slosh-killer
It works, the hourglass design does keep the slosh low and the flow high. Now i need a newly-designed drying frame to insert….are you working on that?

Good shape, but sticky closure mechanism
The shape of the bladder is great to prevent sloshing. I also love that the hose detaches for easy cleaning. The folding-sliding top closure mechanism is well-engineered to get out all the air bubbles to prevent sloshing, but it's very sticky and requires a tremendous amount of force. I have to get my husband to do it for me, and it still sometimes takes him several minutes. It's ok for long training runs, but I don't know what we would do if we were trying to refill quickly at a race aid station!

Not as pictured
The bladder shown has measurements on it, but mine doesn't. It made it very inconvenient to have to measure before filling it.

Came without the hose magnet
This bladder worked great for me. My only negative with it is that it didn't come with the magnet to match the hydration pack's magnet.
