Description

Keep your chain in line.

While most of your friends are able to loudly assert their preference for desert slickrock, smooth flow trails, or loamy PNW singletrack, you get a giddy grin on your face for any of it. One thing you do know for sure is that you're all carbon, all the time. When you're putting a chain guard on your new trail frame, choose the MRP AMg V2 Carbon Chain Guide to help prevent a dropped chain on your next ride while keeping with the matte aesthetic you can't get enough of. Now built with a nylon skid plate for additional chainring protection, as well as quieter co-molded upper, the AMg works best with clutch-based rear derailleurs or in conjunction with other chain-retaining rings, as it guards, more than guides your chain along its journey.

  • Prevent dropped chains on your trail bike with this guide
  • Functions best alongside clutch-based rear derailleurs
  • Easy-to-install design requires only a 4mm hex wrench
  • Works with chainlines 49mm or wider
  • Grooved upper guide includes back plate for added stiffness
  • Nylon skid plate adds protection for chainrings

No Oval Chainrings

I got this with my recent bike build liked it but then got an oval chainring and had to return it for Absolute Black's guide/gaurd. I prefer the look of this one but the other was lighter, cheaper, and allowed for Ovals. Nothing wrong with this one.

Stylish, lightweight protection

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

These look awesome, install in less than 10 minutes and don't weigh much at all. They are worth their weight in gold since they protect your bottom bracket and chain ring from rock dings which can be super expensive. Get the bash guard and save yourself the headache down the road.

Must Have

Does a great job of protecting the bottom bracket and crank. If you are riding rough terrain the chain guide ensures you don't drop chains.

MRP AMg V2 Chainguide

The All-Mountain Guide is the love child of two innovative and revered product lines, the 1x and XCg. Perfectly suited to the popular all-mountain segment, the All-Mountain Guide shares the freshly updated "TR" upper guide with the 1x, and adds MRP's patented integrated skid. The All-Mountain Guide is a great choice for 5-6" travel bikes when used with the latest tensioned rear derailleurs or on its own for shorter-travel trail bikes or hardtails that require bash protection. The contact-free, "upper-only" chain retention means the AMg will be virtually silent and completely drag-free when pedaling. The patented integrated skid will protect your crank and chainring and prevent the chain from ever contacting and potentially damaging your expensive frame.
