High expectations.

The Maxxis High Roller II 3C EXO TR Tires have a more aggressive, open tread pattern than their predecessors that makes for speed and confidence on lightly techy courses. The High Roller II's slimmer knobs clear muck and debris for riding in the mid-zone between boggy mush and hardpack while still exceeding expectations in dry conditions. It may sound like we're promoting the High Roller II as a strong contender for king of the all-around racing tires. Because we are.

The signature High Roller tread pattern is complemented by the sticky dual compound, which imbues the shoulder knobs with fast cornering on hardpack and predictable engagement with rain-slicked roots and rocks. The pattern describes a squared-off profile that makes for a consistent feel while leaning through terrain and also improves braking and lowers rolling resistance on fast, hard singletrack.

Great front tire option

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used this as a front tire for about 3-4 years, it works great, hooks great in the corners and in the 2.4 width gives me good volume. EXO sidewalls are great for Utah rocks, and weight is pretty competitive with similar tires. I tried to use it as a rear tire, but it had a bit too much rolling resistance for my liking.

Favorite front tire!

I have been running a High Roller II on the front of my Juliana Furtado for the last season and love it! It is faster rolling than a Minion but had more bite when pushed into corners than an Ardent does. So far I have run it on wet trails, sandy, slickrock, and dry trails. The only area where I haven't been 100% happy with it was the really dry, dusty trails. Other than that, it is an awesome all around front tire!

    Trying something new

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Been a huge fan of the Ardent by maxis, these are great as well, i wish i would have gone a little wider on my SB6 but i will do that next buy. Overall these have been holding up great and are quite grippy in the corners.

    You Enduro Bro?

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Maxxis High Rollers have always been my go to tire when looking to ride aggressive but still looking for a good rolling tire. Have done numerous shuttle/lift runs and provides confidence inspiring cornering while still being able to handle the rough stuff like SoCal chunk. Used this for my last Enduro race and was trouble free as I knew it would be. The 2.4 width is perfect if you are looking to go a little wider in the front or if you are looking to squeeze the biggest tire width in the rear as most 6in travel bike have a max clearance of 2.4". Have more questions about this tire feel free to hit me up.

Does the High Roller 2.4 tire fit in the rear for a 2015 Specialized FSR Carbon expert Evo 650b?

It would really depend on what width rim you are using as it can change the volume and shape of the tire. I would say you would need to play is safe and run a 2.3

    Great all around tire

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Awesome tire for most conditions. Little faster rolling then the DHR 2 Ive found but it also wears out a little quicker.

    Sticky & Grippy

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love these tires. I live in Utah and it gets pretty dry and dusty here. But these tires have great grip. They do seem to love rocks though and I find that they toss them up at me occasionally.
I have them mounted up to Reynold's Enduro wheels, DT Swiss 471s, and I9 Pillar Carbon Enduro rims and love the setup for all the trail riding I have done on them so far.

    Great Tire

This tire is great in all the conditions I've used it so far. It's been great in dry-loose conditions as well as wet muddy conditions. It does wear a little quickly as it is a very soft compound but it's a small price to pay for the grip you get.
