Write your question here...What size in Europe is equivalent in size XXL and XL?
XL 45 - 46 XXL 47 - 48
I loved these for the four rides I got out of them before the ultra thin outer layer started to wrinkle and tear. They went in the trash less than a month after buying them. I was very careful with them not walking far on the thin soles and hand washing them when they got road crudded, but they simply weren't up to the job of being worn.
Castelli aren't respected for the highest quality and these shoe covers live up to that disappointing reputation.

Ok, I'm really interested in these covers. I need some barrier between me and the blustery elements in the Midwest. I believe these block out the water pretty well; do they also handle the wind efficaciously? I know it seems obvious -- if it keeps out water, it should keep out wind. But I haven't found an overshoe that addresses these issues explicitly. I will certainly buy these if they do!

I am interested in getting these for my husband who commutes everyday by bike, even in the rain and snow. He is old school and uses toe cages for both his mountain bike and road bike. Will these shoe covers work with toe cages? Should I worrying about them ripping when used with toe cages?
I would not suggest he use these shoe cover's with toe cages, as what you said is correct and the possibility of them wearing down the fabric or them ripping is a big possibility
The shoe covers will certainly wear down with the toe cages,i use them with cleats(shimano ultegra SPD-SL Pedal) and tears are leaving their marks already just by getting in and out of the pedals.
They wont last long. Maybe buy him the Toe Thingy and figure out a way to put them over the cage so his toes will stay toasty. Either that or drag him, kicking and screaming, out of the 70s?

Good shoe cover for wet and/or cold rolling. They fit snug (as they should) and have a wrap around velcro ankle strap that allows you to tighten the cuff to keep out all moisture. For me, that was the selling point. Don't walk too much on them or they will rip easily. Nice look as well.
mind the size
Great shoe covers for rides in temperatures under 50,as promised they keep your shoes dry in wet weather, but mind the sizing chart ;Castelli recommends LARGE for sizes 9-10.5,i wear a size 10.5 cycling shoes but the covers came a bit small.
After one month of northwest riding, these covers have kept my feet nice and dry. I use them commuting to work and weekend long rides. Reflective tag in back works according to co-workers.

Pro look and they do the job. These totally keep my feet dry while riding in wet weather.

What is the sizing on these? I can't find a shoe size associated with S/M/L/XL.
I would use the sock sizing guide. this is a link to a Castelli sock click on the sizing chart to view recommended sizing.
Castelli Pioggia Shoe Covers, white
These shoe covers are great. They are basically completely waterproof materials, and the only place the water comes into the shoes is from the top after it has been raining for ages. A few weeks ago I was training with a bunch, and all the other riders who had varying different booties on were complaining of wet feet long before I noticed mine get wet... The zipper is very waterproof, and offset from centre, so you dont have that annoying zipper at the back of your ankle.
The velcro/wetsuit material is slightly adjustable at the top of the bootie to try and keep more water out too.
I guess the negative sides to this bootie are that I would like for them to go a bit higher up the leg. My ankles are pretty small, so shoe covers in my shoes' size are usually too loose at the ankle.
Also, I would probably opt for the black ones next time, particularly if you are just riding for training. Mine look super-cool, but the white shows a lot of dirt! It is easily removed with degreaser and a rag, but black ones wont show the dirt as much...
I would definitely buy another pair of these after mine wear out.
Great shoe cover, a must for winter riding.
These shoe covers are great, they keep your feet warm and dry. I use Look Keo cleats and the cut out holes on the bottom of these shoe covers gave more than enough room for my pedals. The zipper makes these easy to put on over your shoes and the strap makes it feel more snug and secure. However, they started to rip on the rear quarter panel after walked on them after I got a flat on a ride. I understand they wont last forever, but if they did not rip, they would get 5 stars from me. Regardless, I highly recommend these to anyone. I am a size 45 shoe and the XL was perfect. The chat person I spoke to told me to get a XXL, which would have been a nightmare.

what is the outer material made of? the neoprene cuff seems liek a great idea to prevent seapage
This cover sports a polyurethane-coated, seam-sealed fabric to ensure no moisture seeps in, and the Giro+ ankle strap prevents water from running down your leg and into your shoes.
