Avoid these til they fix flimsy sidewall
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
These tire’s sidewalls are horrible. They’ll withstand one tubeless mounting. Next season, forget about tubeless, as you’ll see things like:
Bead separation from sidewall
Holes in the sidewall
Deteriorated sidewall
A tire this expensive should survive more than one tubeless mount; more than one season - especially if they’re only used in snow.
I think 4tnrth must know about these issues & are quietly shipping newer, more robust versions of this tire as old, bad inventory gets depleted. How do I know? I’m on my third flowbiest, and it is noticeably different (in durable/good way) than the first two.
Grippy...
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Riding these with tubes as my rims won't run tubless. Compared to my previous tires, Kenda Juggernaut's, these grip like nails, uphill and down. I've not had any of the sidewall issues the others mention here, but only have about 8 rides so far so will update if I have others.
Pros:Grip, ability to go tubeless
Cons: Pricey

Less than 500 miles
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Came home from a easy 18 mile ride in the snow today and to my dismay the fricken sidewall was torn right off the bead in two spots and tube bulging out!!!! Good thing I made it back!! Do not buy this garbage! Waiting on 45nrth's response and refund!
Was hoping for great tire
Tire will not fit right on rim - Side wall like paper, very disappointed considering the cost
Great tread, pitiful side wall
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I'm very disappointed with my Dunderbiest. I've had it on my bike for 3 to 4 weeks, and already the casing closest to the rim has become ragged & porous. It now won't hold the air in a Tubeless configuration, as is advertised by 45nrth. Does 45nrth stand behind their products in any way? This is my first time using their tire - possibly my last.
