Doing work.

You may spend all day in an office chair fiddling with spreadsheets and spilling coffee on your chinos, but your real work begins when you get home to the Wahoo KICKR Training Desk Set Up. It may resemble the cockpit of a treadmill because it's designed to serve the same purpose for your trainer, holding your laptop or propping up your tablet or smartphone so your data, training apps, or whatever media you prefer while whiling away the virtual miles stays front and center throughout your session.

A non-slip surface keeps everything where you place it, and built in cable-routing options ensure that your arrangement options aren't limited by power cord requirements. The desk's steel frame is an upgrade to rickety TV tray improvisations, and integrated wheels ensure that the stand's robust body is still easily moveable when your significant other, roommate, or the family cat get tired of tripping over your indoor training obsession.

  • An indoor training desk for when it's time to do work
  • Nonslip surface supports screens of all types
  • Included wheels for mobility between sessions
  • Compatible with any indoor trainer that fixes the bike in place

Nice Design But Some Cheap Construction

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This training desk pretty much functions as advertised: It's perfectly designed for training sessions, stable, and has a non-slip surface. A very sturdy desk overall.

That said, it arrived broken. The desk has two push-buttons that are set in the platform that allow the platform to be raised or lowered to accommodate the height of your bike. The buttons are connected (cheaply) to locking mechanisms by long, skinny metal rods that run through the support arms. Apparently, one of the rods became disconnected during transport, and because the support arms are sealed there's no way to reconnect it.

You can still "manually" adjust the desk by directly pushing in the locking mechanism with the tip of a small allen wrench. Not a big deal if you're not going to adjust the desk height very often, but kind of a pain if you want to adjust it regularly.

It's one of those things that bugs you but probably not enough to go through the hassle of repackaging the desk and sending it back.

Love it

I use my laptop in the morning to check e-mails, etc while riding the trainer and using TrainerRoad. This stand is perfect as it is height adjustable and can be rolled closer or further away easily even on carpet. Super useful and well constructed. It is a bit pricey, but very convenient.
