One of the Many

Wool socks from sock guy are pretty amazing. They are incredibly strong (as in I haven't rubbed the heel out of em yet), comfortable, smell free, and they look great. This is one of the many im-sure hundreds of Sock Guy socks that I have bought.

all purpose weight, wool, good fit

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm amassigng a small collection of the 'turbowool' socks from sockguy. The wools seems to help keep the stink away on multiday bikepack trips; the weight is sufficient for a little cushion and moisture management but amply breathable for summer riding IMO. So far, they are proving durable (I wash all my wool stuff in kookaburra wool wash)--I seem to lose a sock before I ever get a chance to wear them out. I'll keep buying more turbowool.

    Good socks but...

I love the fit of Sockguy socks, they are very comfortable, but unfortunately, like most of the socks I have gotten from them, are not very durable. I end up with holes in the toe area after just a handful of wearings, and the heel area seems to wear thin quickly as well. If they could increase the durability of them, these would be a winner.

Great wool socks at a great price!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: L/XL

These are great socks, they fit true to size and are snug but not so tight that your calf and ankle are sad by the end of the day. The wool blend is also quite nice that does a great job wicking away moisture and regulating temperature.

I wear a size 11-11.5 depending on the brand and the L/XL fit great. Overall nice socks that seem like they will hold up great over time. I would buy these again.

Nice socks, but not what I expected

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are great socks but I'm not sure I fully understood the application intended for them when I purchased them. They feel fairly thin and might be more suited for casual use as opposed to a week long trip in the backcountry. However, in a casual setting they do the job.

Statement of benefits are very contradictory, trail sock means thicker, four season includes winter and summer may imply midweight, (Personally because wool is breathable any weight is ok in summer) it then says for cool weather and warm weather. Thank for clarifying they are on the thin side.

They feel like dress socks honestly, but I always wear thick smart wool type socks backpacking/snowboarding regardless of temperature, so I would imagine most anything would feel thin compared to that. And when I do extended backpacking I change socks everyday.

Great for the geologist in your life

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
      • Fit: True to size

I got these as a Christmas gift for my geoengineer boyfriend. He's always digging and picking for work and loved the design. He says they're comfortable and true to size.
