Why We Like The VT30 C Saddle
There's something romantic about setting off into the sunrise on a weekend morning with nothing but gravel under our wheels and a full day's worth of snacks in our rear pockets. This feeling only gets better when we've got a good saddle under our bum, and for us, with Selle SMP, that's the VT30 C Saddle. It's for cyclists with wide to medium sit bones who want a downturned nose for comfort in aggressive riding positions, should we decide to venture out on the tarmac or dabble in racing. A carbon-reinforced nylon body keeps the durability high, and unidirectional carbon fiber rails offer precise stiffness and low grams.

Stellar Selle SMP Seat
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
At nearly 59, I wanted a saddle that was wider than my Terry men's Fly model, one I've had for twenty plus years. I've looked at a lot of saddles over the past couple of months, and one thing I'd recommend is going through the Selle SMP seat finder. This is the seat it picked for me. I have only been on a few short rides, but the fit feels excellent. I'm 6'0" and around 210. It's a few grams heavier than my Fly saddle, but also about 10mm wider, and I notice the small difference. I got the gray color and it is a pretty close match to my Mercury colored Trek.
