Dialed in precision and stiffness.
While riser bars have their appeal when it comes to comfort on the bike, flat bars reign supreme when you're looking for control and precision. For those looking for elevated control as they charge over the mountain, the Santa Cruz Carbon 780 Flat bar is the choice of champions. It uses the same stiff, high modulus carbon fiber that we've gotten to know and love from Santa Cruz to shave weight and increase strength for a reliable bar, but not without also focusing on damping. Carbon's natural ability to absorb vibrations minimize chatter transferred to you, the rider, when you're riding through rough and rowdy terrain, in turn reducing fatigue on your body when riding at your hardest. While the bar will soak up the vibrations, its precise layup is designed so that it won't flex when you're cranking on your bars and putting serious torque down. The bars come in at the super-wide 780mm, for riders looking to conquer enduro and all mountain terrain, but can be customized and shortened a bit to dial in the fit you deem most comfortable. They use a standard 31.8mm clamp diameter, and a subtle 8-degree sweep that can be rotated to fine-tune your fit further.
