Race FaceTurbine 35mm Stem

Turbine 35mm Stem
The rise of the 35mm handlebar is a great thing for nearly all mountain bike riders. The fatter bars are stronger, stiffer, and in some cases, even lighter at the same time. There aren't a huge number of 35mm-ready stems on the market yet, but thankfully, the Race Face Turbine 35mm Stem is up for nearly any kind of riding.
To ready the Turbine stem for 35mm handlebar duty, well, they don't really need to change much besides the clamp diameter. The standard Turbine stem, like all Race Face parts, has strength to spare. For starters, engineers render the Turbine from aerospace 7075 aluminum. This provides the high strength and fatigue resistance at a sub-140-gram weight (90mm), while a four-bolt bar clamp holds the bar securely in position without creating stress points. To accomplish this, Race Face uses an interlocking, U-shaped faceplate. On the other end, opposing steerer tube bolts provide extreme clamping power, without damaging the steerer tube.
The Race Face Turbine 35mm Stem comes in one color and in lengths from 50mm to 90mm, with two rise options: zero or +\- six degrees. The Race Face Turbine is compatible with 1.125in steerer tubes and 35mm handlebars only.

Top quality stem

I'm what the youngen's have called "old sckool." Purchased a new cf bike and the stock 50mm stem just didn't deliver on climbs or out of the saddle pedaling. This stem works perfect. Recommend!

only stem i will run ever again

I have had 3, 50mm stems on my past 3 bikes. I know it works for me so why change it? I've never broken a stem. I really doubt I ever will. So I saved myself a few grams and went turbine over atlas.

Solid Stem
Just slapped one of these on my new bike and it definitely does the trick. It's a good price and has good rise for my 35mm bars.

Great Stem

Not much a stem can do right or wrong really... but this one looks great, comes in all the sizes you would want/need, and is a reasonable weight while still being confidence-inspiring-ly burly. It also has 6 degrees of rise, which I love because that means I can use less spacers. If you're trying to get as slammed as possible, they make a new "R" version of this stem with zero rise.

Nothing Fancy But Does the Job

Race Face made a great stem when it put out the Turbine. Those looking for a short stem but with a slight rise to it will find that the this stem will fit your needs. Not many 35mm clamp stems out there and this one provides the stiffness you are looking for when running 35mm clamp handlebars. The picture above does not do it justice as it looks more glossy and cleaner in person.

Keep it simple
No need to dig into details - I debated between this stem and the Atlas, but ultimately went with this one based on appearances alone. A little less bulky looking with a cleaner cosmetic look to better go with my black frame.

Some people said that I would need a burlier stem for a Nomad. I replied "When is the last time you or anyone you know snapped a stem?"

I purchased this in a 90mm length to extend my fatty cockpit ever so slightly. Stem machining is very nice and has that OE look. Would recommend.

This is my second Turbine stem, the first being the 31.8 size with SixC carbon bars. I upgraded and paired up with a nice set of Race face SixC 35 carbon 35mm riser bars! It's a great stem. Design looks awesome when mounted up.
