Disc brakes recently saw an abbreviated tenure in the peloton, but the rest of us are free to take advantage of increased modulation and stopping power on our daily rides. Whether you're training for a century, logging epic social miles, or hitting up a local race ride, the 2017 Gan Disc 105 Complete Road Bike combines Pinarello's legendary ride quality, confident disc braking, and Shimano's workhorse drivetrain at a price that'll leave a few coins left over for those important post-ride burritos.
The Gan Disc features similar eye-catching styling as the top-tier Dogma F8, with its signature curves and aerodynamic detailing making the bike as stunning as it is fast. The most notable difference between the two frames is the type of carbon used to make them. While the Dogma F8 boasts the top-end of the top-end Toray T1100 1K Dream Carbon with Nanoalloy Technology, the Gan RS consists of more compliant T600 carbon that sacrifices a bit in the weight and stiffness categories, but drops the overall cost drastically. The Gan Disc incorporates a few tweaks to the lay-up compared to its rim-brake equipped sibling and reinforcement at the brake mounts to accommodate the extra load of disc braking forces.
As with the Dogma F8, this frame incorporates Pinarello's asymmetrical design for claimed improvements in power transfer and comfort. The asymmetry in the Gan Disc's seatstays is less extreme than in the Dogma F8, resulting in a more compliant and comfortable ride while still providing benefits in handling to keep you feeling solid out on the road. At the top junction of the stays, a wishbone shape serves to provide clean lines and aerodynamic protection to keep the rear brake out of the wind so you don't have to worry about it slowing you down when you don't want it to.
The Gan Disc also incorporates the Dogma F8's Flatback technology. Flatkack tubes feature a signature ovalized face and flattened back to create an aerodynamic profile that slices cleanly through the wind without any extra materials bogging down the scale. It also reduces the deleterious effect of crosswinds on lateral stability while managing turbulent, drag-inducing air slop in the tubes' wake. An integrated seat clamp and aero seat post add to the wind-cutting advantage and offer clean, uninterrupted frame lines.
The 2017 Gan Disc 105 Complete Road Bike features carefully engineered internal cable routing compatible with both mechanical and electronic shifting systems for an added dose of aerodynamics and crisp, clean lines. It's finished with a threaded Italian bottom bracket that does away with PressFit's creak and longevity issues, a trend that we're happy to see resurfacing across the industry.

Does anyone know what the maximum tire clearance is for the GAN disc?
CC told me 25 or maybe a 26
Have these hit stock yet and has anybody at Competitive Cyclist ridden one yet? The spec makes it look like a brick but some swapping tires and wheels and some bits and pieces seems like it could get reasonable. Just can't find anything review wise on it, yet.
Are there any upgraded options/packages? It's an appealing bike (disc brakes, moderately aero, Pinerello ride) but, as Joseph said, it's a brick at 19.9 pounds. An upgraded package with aero carbon rims would be interesting.
CC called me, which is actually pretty cool. Said they are working on getting a demo bike in since there really is pretty much nothing in review land on this bike right now. Perhaps the best hope near term is that they get one and publish something here.
From memory, this bike is a stock build and CC can swap parts out. Using envelope math it seemed like quite a bit of the weight was in the wheels and tires, and then the crank-set.
I built this bike but swapped components for SRAM Red with Reynolds carbon wheels. Stock the bike is heavy. With my setup I have it down to about 16.5 lbs. which I personally am OK with for a disk bike. It cost quite a bit to do this though as you can image with the groupo and wheel set.
