Why We Like The X-Alp Flow Cycling Shoe
Pearl Izumi's X-Alp Flow Cycling Shoe is designed for trail riders looking for a durable shoe with superior grip. Soft and sticky Siped rubber at the ball of the foot creates positive pedal pin engagement with a dual compound sole, and chevron-shaped lugs at the toe and heel are utilized when we have to scramble or hike a bike. An EVA midsole provides superior shock absorption, and a traditional lace closure offers a precise and comfortable fit.

X-Alp Flow Cycling Shoes.
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 46
I have signed up for a 200 mile event at the end of August. This means I’m going lots of long snd longer rides and just finished a 605 mile month. My feet are really getting worked. These shoes were not stiff enough or protective enough for the rides I’m doing. I’ve donated them to the Hub here in town.

Well designed shoe
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

Shoe is very comfortable as it has a wide and roomy toe box. The design of the sole helps to keep your foot on the pedals as it is rigid and sticky. However, the shoe is still comfortable to walk around in as sometimes I wear shoes just as normal sneakers.

stealth performance, great support

I got the blacked out colorway. Great for biking to work and rocking in the office, but enough stiffness and support to make longer rides with flat pedals significantly better than a normal sneaker. Normally an 8.5, size 42 is a good fit. Probably a little stiff for spending a full day on your feet.
