Extreme Tech MTB Plus Shoe

Not all trail riding is meant to be casual fun. For those days when speed takes over and you must be at the front, at all times, Northwave designed its Extreme Tech MTB Plus Cycling Shoes. These lightweight shoes features an ultra thin carbon sole that minimizes power loss, a Speed Lace Winch closure system for security on the trails, and a footbed that will have you thinking you left the house in your slippers. 

Northwave built the uppers from a single shell of ultralight microfiber to eliminate stitching for the lightest possible weight, the best fit and feel, and virtually no hot spots or chafing. The ventilated carbon fiber soleplate is thin and boasts a weight of just 60 grams. Despite this light weight, Northwave added thermo-welded polyurethane reinforcements at the toe and the sides of the uppers to protect your feet from stones, branches, and other trail debris.

Northwave used BioMap (Biomechanical Mapping) analysis to design the Extreme Tech MTB Plus. Athletes are tested extensively to help Northwave design products that work in perfect synergy with the body’s systems. This testing ensures optimal fit, comfort, and performance. Biomap testing contributes to every design aspect of the shoes, including cut design and material selection. What all this means is shoes that work with your body to optimize performance.

The carbon fiber soleplate allows Northwave to reduce sole thickness for direct power transfer from your foot to the pedal. Ventilation occurs through vents at the toe and on the sides of the shoes. The Extreme Air footbed allows air to move under your feet for complete circulation. The Extreme Air footbed is also antibacterial to minimize odors.

Northwave Extreme Tech MTB Plus Shoes are available in sizes 36-48, with whole sizes from 36.0 to 39.0 and 46.0 to 48.0. Half sizes are available from sizes 39.5 to 45.5. The come in Matte black and Green/black/white.
