Why We Like The WFO RDO 3-Star Mountain Bike
There's nothing more exciting than taking our Niner WFO RDO 3-Star Mountain Bike out on the weekend for lift and shuttle days. The carbon-framed beast of a bike turns trail obstacles into mere inconveniences and keeps us primed for the big hits of the day. 170mm of plush suspension supported by innovative CVA link design has us pushing the WFO to new limits. We're throwing the new Niner WFO 9 into the pack of our pick-up truck, grabbing some buds, and whooping down the trail in search of a good time.
Geometry on the Niner WFO 9 is built like we would expect an enduro slaying machine to be. The frame incorporates standard boost spacing, meaning it's easy to find replacement parts for our wheels, cranks, and hubs. Big 29in wheels are paired with a slacked-out 64-degree head-tube angle in the low setting, ideal for getting over big trail obstacles in our way. For its class, the steep 77-degree seat-tube angle means we're not afraid of pointing the WFO 9 up some big fire road climbs. A 1205mm wheelbase brings a lot of stability to the game, meaning we can confidently sign-up for our first enduro knowing the bike won't be holding us back.
Component spec on Niner WFO is built with peace of mind and the budget in mind. With Fox Suspension confidently supporting the biggest of hits while the aggressive Maxxis tread keeps the rubber side down. SRAM outfits drivetrain duties with a full GX Eagle drivetrain providing pedaling performance. SRAM's Eagle drivetrain offers no excuses on the hills by outfitting a huge 10-50t cassette paired with an appropriate 32t chainring. 4-piston brakes with appropriate 200mm rotors make sure we can slow down in a hurry when things get a little too rowdy.
Sending hairy descents with the Niner WFO 9 is just the start on their affordably priced and expertly specced 3-star build. The Carbon frame provides a top-of-the-line base to start our emerging enduro careers on, or just give us a confident platform for all sorts of riding. Niner finishes off the build with a variety of in-house parts designed to hold up to the toughest trails and gnarliest riding we can find. Aggressive geometry speaks to the bike's ability on the descents while CVA suspension lets us take on the fire roads without concern.
