Arm Warmers 2

How do you plan for changing weather conditions over the course of a ride? By making your outfit as adaptable as possible. For fall, many of us choose to delay breaking out our jackets and long-sleeve jerseys for a more segmented approach--one that includes arm warmers such as the Louis Garneau Arm Warmers 2. When worn with a regular jersey, and perhaps a wind-stopping base layer, they give you insurance against the cold, and the ability to cool off if it warms up.

The Arm Warmers 2 are made of Garneau's HeatMaxx fabric, a polyester/elastane blend with a brushed fleece back to retain body heat. A silicone gripper at the bicep keeps each arm warmer from sliding down and exposing a gap beneath your jersey sleeve. Flatlock seams ensure minimal friction against your skin, and a reflective logo on the forearm adds some extra visibility from the side. The Arm Warmers 2 also have a UPF/SPF rating of 50.

The Louis Garneau Arm Warmers 2 come in sizes X-Small through X-Large and in three colors: Black, White, and Red.

  • An affordable, comfortable way to layer for cool weather
  • HeatMaxx fabric manages to wick moisture while keeping warm
  • Brushed backing for a smooth feel against the skin
  • Easy to stash in a jersey pocket if it warms up outside
  • Flatlock seams for an irritation-free fit
  • Silicone bicep grippers keep them in place
  • Reflective accents for low light safety
  • UPF/SPF 50 protection from harmful UV rays

Highly recommend

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

Fit well and keep me warm without feeling bulky or constrained.

Are these similar to the PI Thermal model? I have old Pearl Izumi thermal arm warmers that need replacing, and was looking for something similar in the LG range.

HI Tom, these will be very similar to your Pearl Izumi thermal arm warmers, you can expect about the same fit and warmth. However if you find yourself riding in bad weather occasionally you may want to consider Pearl Izumi's newer Elite Thermal Arm Warmers which have a treatment that sheds light moisture.

Great fit!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Have always loved the fit and finish of Louis Garneau's gear. These warmers are ideal for fall rides requiring a mid-weight warmer. This is my third pair of these in 15 years, so they're durable and maintain their elasticity. Highly recommend.

Good Fit For A Junior

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

Bought these for my 10-year old to complete his kits for cooler weather. He had tried other hand me downs from mom and dad, but the size XS was perfect for him. The brushed, fleece "roubaix" works well for in-between weather and the fit is spot in size XS for his arms.

Annoying tag (aren't they all?)

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

Keep you warm without overheating (in 55-65 degrees weather). Size small fit my 33 inch arms perfectly.

According to my hubs, these are "Dope"

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I bought these for my husband who rides in the early mornings and complains about jackets being a hassle and early mornings being too cold to ride in just a jersey. Here's what he had to say about these: "These work and fit as advertised. I haven't put them to use on a super cold day yet, but so far so good. Read the size charts and break out the tape measure, I'm glad someone forced me to measure my arms... the charts seems to be accurate from my experience."
My husband is 6'5" and roughly 215lbs, he wears an XL in these.

Update: it's now in the low 40s in Portland and my husband is still riding early a.m. rides in short sleeve jerseys with these arm warmers. They have been washed at least 2 dozen times and they look great and are holding their black color well. I don't advise putting them in the dryer - it's not good for the elastic band.

Ridiculously short in an XS

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XS

I"ve been looking for new arm warmers for sun protection. My old Outdoor Research ones were great, but they were always a little big and finally stretched out to where they just fall down. So I was happy to find these in a size XS, until I opened the package and saw they they only measure 13.75" long. Seriously?!! Just because I'm small, doesn't mean I have super short arms. These would leave a gap between the top of the sleeve and my cycling jersey, which would give me a nice suntan stripe...no thanks!

I also bought the XS, and pulling them out of the bag, they do look short. However, once you actually put them on, because they are stretchy they fit just fine. I've worn them multiple times and never have had an issue with them being too short or falling down. If anything, I pull them up a little higher to get less material in my elbow area.

Lg arm warmers

Arm warmers fit perfectly and are definitely warm. Perfect for early morning rides when dark and cold. Excellent to be seen.

Great warmers

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Good looking warmers and fit perfectly for me. Keeps my arms warm and that's what I was looking for.

Great product

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

Very happy with these arm warmers. I ordered the POC offering at the same time and kept these. They fit well, are appropriately warm and generally comfortable. I found these to fit well throughout the arm, unlike the POC that was narrow in the bicep and wide in the wrist - no good.

I did have a seam pop the first day I owned these, but BC.com is taking care of it. Notwithstanding that issue, I'd buy many more pairs of these in the future.

Great Arm Warmer

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Simple clean look and design. Warm but not overbearing, good fit and solid gripper.

Great fit and feel. Fantastic value

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: large

I wasn't expecting a lot from a lower price point arm warmer but these were warm, comfortable and fit well. Snug fit without being uncomfortable. 50 degree and damp ride and they were just right. Probably would be fine down to 42 for some people.

Good Arm Warmer!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great Material, keeps arms nice and warm, wicks sweat and moisture away, stays in place.

Looks Great & Does the Job

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Keep your arms warm, stay where they should be, and look great. I was trying to find some warmers that aren't flashy and crazy expensive. These fit the bill.

Very Nice

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: xsm

They stay on, perfect degree of warmth

keep you warm on your cold rides

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

bought these for the Salt to Saint bike ride and wearing these during the late night rides, they helped keep me warm, while riding in the colder temperature.

they hold tight on your arms so they do not slide around, while riding.

they seem to fit close to the size listed.

No idea on garneau sizing, and trying to replace arm warmers 9I have capo roubaix, pearl izumi, and sugoi ones none of which stay up anymore I'm guessing because the elastics may be shot after 7 years of use (my entire cycling life), is that at thing that happens?? Anyway, I'm 5'3" and 120 lbs but muscular, but my arms are ever so slightly long for my height. I normally wear size S jerseys and bibs tho in brands like castelli I sometimes size the jersey up to an M because I find the arms to be snug (wearable but less comfortable than an M). Since these are unizex, I have no clue- do I go with S or XS? I want to make sure I get something that will stay up, otherwise I would have guessed S, any thoughts?

XS available if your gun show is lacking

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Garneau is one of the few who make arm warmers in extra small. No more drooping or safety pins to hold them up! The fabric is soft, warm and has retained its elastic after a year of wear and washing. Arms of all sizes rejoice!

Functional and Warm

I first wore these on a ride up Independence Pass on May 18. Snow flurries on the way up and clear and cold on the way down. However, my arms were warm.
