Last resort on the trail
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I bought this for my trail bag that I bring on all my rides. This pump is compact and solid, but does lack the plush features of some more expensive pumps.
I would only recommend this as a last resort while on the trail.

The Pump is excellent. It is the best constructed pump I've used. It inflates my mountain bike tires with no problem, and surprisingly quickly. Well machined and looks solid. Also having the hose is a step above anyone else, you don't have to be in an awkward position to be pumping up your tire.
The gauge on the other hand is awful. Its hard to read, but more importantly it is very inaccurate. Even if the gauge reads the same thing for a few different tires they could be 5 PSI or more apart from each other. Not to mention it will read 50 PSI when you are really at 35.
Also, the clip for your bottle cage mount is not good. How can you make a pump this good and then spend 30 seconds designing a bike mount?
But, don't let that stop you from getting this pump. It is seriously great.
Lezyne makes their Gauge Drive pump in both a HV and a HP model, Backcountry list two Gauge Drive HP pumps which is confusing but if you look at the specs listed on this one it appears that this is actually the Gauge Drive HV, is it?
You are right, this is actually the HV pump. We are getting the title changed.
