Dominate the snow.
You've just added a shiny, beautiful new fat bike to the cycling stable, but something isn't right. The carbon frame is spotless, the suspension will give you a super plush ride when you venture out in the snow, and you've fitted it with a top of the line cockpit. And then you realize that you didn't upgrade to carbon wheels. And a bike this pretty needs carbon wheels. Meet the Industry Nine Big Rig Carbon Fatbike Wheelset, a rockin' set of hoops that will put the cherry on your awesome fat bike sundae.
Industry Nine pulls out all the stops on these wheels, starting with a smooth and lightweight set of tubeless-ready HED Big Deal Carbon Rims. These rims feature a single-wall, ribbed design with 32 spoke holes for a super-stiff, super-light, and exceptionally durable ride that will glide over even the crustiest snow patch. HED incorporates its Inflatobam technology into the Big Deal, which is a specially designed system for tire inflation featuring twin channels that essentially trap the tire bead against the rim to facilitate quick and easy tire seating with less pressure than other rims. Once the tire is seated, this technology also reduces the risk of pesky tire slips or burps interrupting your time out on the trails.
Industry Nine laces the Big Deals to its own hubs to create the solid rockstar wheelset we know as the Big Rig. The front hub features two bearing with external O-ring seals and the rear hub boasts four bearings with external Teflon seals and a silicone freehub seal to keep things friction-free and rolling smoothly. The hub grease is rated to -40 degrees Fahrenheit, so even the most hard-core, cold tolerant riders can get their snow fix on. These wheels let you play in the snow with confidence to tackle virtually any wintery conditions.
The Industry Nine Big Deal Carbon Fat Bike Wheelset is available with either a hyperglide 9/10 speed freehub body or an XD1 freehub body to meet your gearing preferences and needs.

These are 26" wheels.
What is the difference between the INDUSTRY NINE BIG RIG CARBON FAT BIKE WHEELSET Black HD and the Black Hyperglide?
XD and Hyperglide have to do with the type of cassette driver on the hub. XD is required to run a SRAM 11-speed cassette, while the Hyperglide driver is the norm that's used with 8, 9, and 10-speed applications.
Basically, go with the Hyperglide option unless you will be running a SRAM 11-speed rear cassette. In that case choose the XD model.
