At a claimed 360 grams per pair, the AE05 Evo Pedals aren't the absolute lightest in HT Components' Evo pedal family, but they're only a few grams off. As with the rest of its Evo counterparts, the AE05 provides a beefy platform with replaceable pins for your soles to grip as you tackle rough trails, session the park, and slice through singletrack switchbacks.
The AE05's extruded, CNC-machined aluminum pedal body makes for a stiff and responsive feel, while dual DU bushing bearings keep the spindles turning smoothly. Clocking in at just 17mm thick, these sleek pedals also leave ample clearance for navigating technical terrain and narrow ruts.
- A trail-worthy platform pedal
- Durable aluminum construction
- Replaceable pins provide extra grip
- Smooth DU bushing bearings

Great Low Profile Platform Pedal
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I love the HT Components Platform Pedals. I have the AE03 on another one of my bikes and is so thin, I almost never have pedal strikes with a low bottom bracket. The AE05 is a tiny bit thicker but looks even more bomber and heavy duty. I got the AE05 because the AE03 was out of stock. I am super happy with this version too. This is an incredible platform pedal for high end mountain bikes. They aren't cheap price wise and there is nothing about them that is cheap build wise. I highly recommend these pedals for anyone wanting platforms.
