The kid's been doing some serious damage to their current bike since you took the training wheels off. In fact, they’re currently working hard on practicing skid-outs in the driveway, and are giving themselves bald tires in the process. Before your little ripper sees the consequences of this during their next rainy day pedal session, you could upgrade them to the Diamondback Jr. Venom Kids’ Bike. Inspired by adult dirt jumpers and BMX frames, the Venom is built solidly out of steel to withstand every scenario—real, or imagined—Junior has in store for it.

Devoid of flashy logos and fluorescent paint, the Jr. Venom represents the growing trend towards vintage-inspired kids’ bikes: all shiny steel and brown rims. Though the aesthetics might be a throwback, the geometry is thoroughly modern. The long-and-low front end aims to instill confidence when sending backyard ramps and bike park features, and it’s complemented by high, stable handlebars akin to those Junior’s future bikes will have if they stick with the bike park. A single-speed drivetrain and U-brakes keep mechanics streamlined and not distracting, with brake levers that let young ones adjust to using their hands, rather than their feet, to slow themselves down.
