Better than meteorology.
Weathermen aren’t always correct — especially in the mountains, where a warm, sunny day can turn into a chilly downpour on a dime. Just to be safe, carry the Craft Featherlight Vest in your jersey or in your pack every time you ride. It certainly lives up to its name, and it packs into its own back pocket, so you won’t even know it's there until you need it. The Featherlight can also be purchased in a high-visibility yellow for safety during the day, and reflective trim is included with each colorway for low-light visibility.
The Featherlight Vest is made with a DWR-coated wind- and water-repellent fabric at the front and an elastic mesh at the back for optimal fit and enhanced ventilation. The vest also features 360-degree reflective trim to make your more visible to motorists and a full front zip for added airflow when necessary.

2 flimsy 4 cold descends-flappy shoulder
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: XL
After much research I landed on this vest because it had the right combination of lightweight, form fitting contours, breathable mesh and a back pocket. The price was right and it looked great.
When I received the vest, I was actually quite pleased with how light it felt, the great fit and how easily it fit in my back jersey pocket.
After one ride in NorCal peninsula however I was convinced this wasn't for me. In a cool descend, the vest barely protected my core, it was better than nothing but I was still very cold. What's more, the shoulders flapped like crazy. Overall I don't think Craft hit the right balance between light and functional - Flimsy.
Back pocket that serves as a phone / ipod / snack holder also serves as the stuff sack.
Lightweight, small, packable
- Familiarity: I've used it several times

Perfect lightweight and compact vest to throw into your back pocket for a ride. Front is a windproof material and back is a breathable mesh so the all round breathability of the piece is quite good. Has some reflective hits on the chest and back and the collar has sort of a brushed light fuzzy material for added neck comfort.
I purchased a large and I'm 6'1" 175 - fit is a performance / tight fit but not skin tight race day or anything. Generally riding trails with this item so I haven't experienced any annoying flapping of the windproof material on the chest side of the item but I'm also not going 30 MPH on a road.
