ZFS-5 GX Eagle Mountain Bike

With progressive cross-country race-inspired geometry and a super lightweight frame, the Cervelo ZFS-5 Mountain Bike is one of our top choices for a fast and capable cross-country ripper. The ZFS-5 uses a single-pivot, flex-stay suspension for optimal efficiency and power delivery, while the 29-inch wheels maintain our speed when rolling over rocks and roots. With 100mm of rear travel, the ZFS-5 is a rocket when climbing technical trails, while the descent is aided by the slack 67.8-degree head tube angle, allowing us to maintain laser-like precision handling and still confidently handle steeper descents. Size-specific seat tube angles and chainstays ensure all sized riders have a proportional and balanced bike, while the low top tube ensures more standover clearance. The ZFS-5 frame is finished off with chainstay and downtube protection, two water bottle mounts, and an integrated chain guide.

The GX Eagle build of the ZFS-5 is equipped with reliable components for any rider to excel on the trails. Cervelo's carbon frame is exceptionally lightweight for speed and finesse and provides precise handling on the XC course. SRAM's GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain has a proven track record and features a huge gear range, ensuring we have the perfect gear for any climb. The RockShox SIDLuxe rear shock is super lightweight, has outstanding small bump sensitivity, and has a 3-position remote lockout for climbing and pedaling efficiency. Up front, the RockShox SID SL Select 100mm fork handles chunk and drops on the course with ease, and also features a remote lockout so we can keep our hand on the handlebar and lockout our suspension. SRAM's Level Bronze 4-piston brakes provide tons of power on tap for riding at race speeds, While Maxxis Rekon Race tires on the front and rear ensure low rolling resistance without sacrificing grip. This build is finished off with Race Face ARC 37 aluminum rims paired with DT Swiss 370 hubs to give us technical performance on the trails at a low price point and ensure confidence when the race is on the line.
