This piece of kit offers just enough wind and water protection on unpredictable spring and fall days without compromising breathability. Constructed from Schermo fabric, this vest offers wind protection so your core stays warm on cooler breezy days and on long descents to the valley floor. The DWR coating further adds water resistance and light rain and splashes simply bead up and roll off, keeping you dry.

If your rides have you tackling some ascents or doing some tempo, training with a shell on can often lead to overheating. Castelli combats this by laser cutting ventilation holes around the collar. The Schermo fabric's knit is fine to allow heat to escape but is tight enough to prevent wind from entering. This vest is excellent at regulating temperatures and providing moisture management so you can stay dry and comfortable and enjoy your long day out on the bike.

A YKK Vislon zipper dumps heat on extended climbs and the selective no-sew construction keeps the vest looking sleek and clean. Two rear covered pockets have flaps for a cleaner look and keep riding essentials secured. The rear of the hem has a silicone gripper keeping the vest in place and preventing the pockets from sagging the rear of the vest when fully loaded. If the winds die down and the sun comes out for good, the vest is extremely compact and packable in a jersey pocket.
