Take in the snowy scenery.
There are few things the truly embody the joy of riding a bicycle more than rolling through beautiful farmland as giant snowflakes float through the bright, crisp air around you. Take in the views in the warm comfort of your Castelli Men's Raddoppia Jacket, listen to the light crunch of fresh snow under your tires, and enjoy the blissfully muffled quiet and peace that marks the official changing of ride seasons.
The key to this jacket's ability to weather the cold is Castelli's use of Gore Windstopper X-Fast thermal fabric, which offers warm protection against the elements of winter, and a lighter Thermoflex fabric on the sides for a balance of warmth and breathability. Large reflective paneling and logo placement across the jacket adds aesthetic interest and impressive visibility to other road users in dreary, low-light conditions.
Castelli recommends this jacket for ideal warmth in temperatures ranging from 32-50 degrees Fahrenheit, but we'd happily pair it with a jersey and base layer in colder temperatures without any concerns.
- A cycling jacket to fend off the winter elements
- Gore Windstopper membrane keeps you rolling in foul weather
- Thermal inserts boost breathability without compromising warmth
- Streamlined fit minimizes the flap of excess fabric
- Three rear open pockets and a zippered pocket stow essentials
- Reflective paneling increases visibility to others

- How to Measure:
- For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
- Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
- Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
- Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
- Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

Had to have it
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Ok, this men's version of this jacket is amazing, not sure if there's a comparable women's version that's this warm and in yellow? I am a huge fan of Castelli and this jacket definitely doesn't disappoint. I agree with the other posts that this particular jacket runs very small. I am 5'3", 116 pounds and I am usually a woman's small or medium. In this men's jacket, I needed the medium. I would think a man who usually wears a medium would need the large or even the XL for more room to layer?
As far as wind coming through the zipper, I haven't felt it, but that could be because I have on at least 2-3 layers underneath in the 30 degree range. Love the 3 deep back pockets, plus the reflective zippered rear pocket for $ and a key.
Size up 1-2 sizes and enjoy your breezy cold winter ride, plus washes really well in cold water and hang to dry!!!

Unsure as to why the apparel designers failed to include a draft stop behind the zipper. Continuous blast of cold air to the upper chest area is felt even when riding in the drops. Sadly the mild fall in the upper Midwest prevented me from discovering this flaw before the 30 day return window expired. First Castelli product I can't recommend. 5' 9" 160 lbs. 40" chest purchased XL to allow layering of heavier weight baselayers, fit is still aero but more relaxed in the chest area. Own The Alpha Jacket in L and it is too snug across the chest when wearing a Assos #3 or #4 winter baselayer.
Great except for a tragic flaw

I had high expectations. It fit the bill of fluorescent yellow and warm. Alas, there is no wind flap behind the zipper; so, even on a 50 degree test ride, I could feel cold spreading from the zipper area over the front of my chest. Everywhere else was toasty. Add a zipper flap or make a windproof zipper and it would be a great product.
Of note, the XL fit snug like a jersey and the XXL like a slim fit jacket with room for a slim fleece vest. The arms were still snug.
Italians cannot conceive how fat I am.

OK...I'm fat. Not obese but fat. A series of spinal injuries from an IED in Iraq have been slow to recover and I still face at least 3 more operations. Whahhh!!!! Lots of reasons but they all sound just what they are; excuses.
So I quit my job in South Georgia and am moving to Colorado Springs where I was the most fit I ever was.
Well it's freaking cold in the winter there but one of the things I always enjoyed was getting out in the winter alone. Now I'm not a masochist so I dropped some cash on the CASTELLI RADDOPPIA JACKET. It is a thing of beauty and fine craftsmanship. It's perfect except that I can't stuff my 5'9" 220 lb Lardassian body into the XXL without the seams screaming in protest. I'm going to see if the 3XL can make me feel like I'm not wrapped in Saran Wrap and Duck Tape.
So 4 Stars as the sizing is obviously meant for fit cyclists" ectomorph physiques and so you are forewarned.
If anyone has a recommendation with the same qualities in a full or "American" size sing out.
Great product. Unfortunately the designers could never imagine my body in their beautifully designed and crafted jacket.
