Runs way too small

5'8" at 161 lbs. Purchased size M. Had to return it since it was way too small. Note the fit is "close-to-body" in the description. I don't think a L would have fit me either. I was concerned the proportions would be off if I up sized to XL. So I just returned for money back. I buy a lot of Castelli jerseys. If the fit is "form-fitting", then size M usually gives me a snug but good fit.

Nice, but runs small & not very thermal

Nice quality, as Castelli products usually are, but also runs very small, as Castelli products usually do. At just over 6' tall and a slightly dad-bod 185 lbs, I normally wear a Lg or XL jersey from most manufacturers. But after having had several pairs of Castelli bibs, I knew to size up, so I went with XXL. If I cared about being aero, that might have been the right fit, but I also care about being able to breathe, and this jersey was very, very snug. I'd also hoped for a slightly thicker and/or lined jersey. This seemed like it was maybe 1-1/2 to 2x the thickness of a standard very summer jersey, so it might be nice on a ride with a cool start but it didn't seem like it would do much for a long ride on a day that stays cool, unless you added arm warmers, a vest or jacket, etc. So it didn't quite check the boxes I'd hoped for, and I sent it back.
