Sting like a scorpion.

With all of the aerodynamic gadgets that are created in wind tunnels each year, we're used to seeing unusual-looking gear. But we're also used to that gear shaving seconds off of time trials. Such is the case with the Castelli Aero Speed Gloves. These gloves are so fast that your times may just sting like the Castelli scorpion itself.

Castelli's Aero Speed Gloves were constructed from sleek Lycra that was sewn in a way that leaves no seams on the backsides. This streamlined profile allows the air to slip over your hands as they grip the bars. What makes these gloves truly different from other aero gloves, including the Castelli Free Gloves, is that the index finger and thumb receive separate pockets, while the other three fingers are all encased in a single sheath. This keeps your hand in a streamlined position and moves the air in a continual line over your hand. The palms feature an Ultrasuede pad and silicone strips for secure handlebar grip, and a tab that extends beyond the wrist makes it easy to pull them on.

The Castelli Aero Speed Gloves are available in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large and in the colors Yellow Fluo/black, Black, and Red/white.

  • Aero-optimized shape
  • Lycra construction (body)
  • Ultrasuede pad at palm
  • Silicone grip strips

Solid TT Glove Option

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

When gloves are needed for a TT these are a fantastic option. Minimal compression on the hands/palm, and just enough grip. Purely mental, but damn they make you feel fast.

Good Glove for Time Trials

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you have to wear a glove for time trials, these are good ones. They feel fast (which is what we all want right?) They are comfortable and don't have much compression.

My hand length sizes to XL but I wear XXL...

My hand length sizes to XL but I wear XXL in Diluvio glove. any recs on what size to go with?

While I haven't had a chance to try these particular gloves, the chart indicates \Medium for me and all my Castelli gloves are Large. Go up at least one size. Here's a shot of the glove size chart from Castelli's website. It is slightly different than ours,, but my advice remains the same.
