C15 Cambium Carved Saddle

Brooks designers made a notable departure from their signature leather saddles when they introduced their Cambium line, and the positive feedback they received from the vegan-friendly saddles was enough to expand the line to include the C15 Cambium Carved. Addressing the perineal discomfort often experienced by cyclists, the brand with a long history of comfort added a pressure-relieving cutout to the middle of this saddle. The cutout is the same design used in Brooks’ Imperial line, resulting in a best-of-both-worlds scenario for the Cambium Carved. Brooks decided to stick with its durable, treated organic cotton cover for this model, which is stretched over a natural rubber base. The two layers are fused together to create a long-lasting single vulcanized layer that sits over die-cast aluminum tubular steel rails, forming a vibration-minimizing hammock that makes long rides feel short.

While the C17 Cambium saddles had a wider width for race saddles, the Cambium Carved returns to the more standard slimmer design of a race saddle with a width of 140mm. The standard saddle length of 283mm accommodates most riders, and thanks to the cutout, the Cambium Carved weighs in lighter than the rest of the line at around 395g.
