Piston 4 Floor Pump

Though most of the non-cycling population might assume otherwise, not all pumps are created equal, and Blackburn's Piston 4 Floor Pump is proof. The Piston 4 is the top dog in Blackburn's new Piston series, and it embodies the sum-of-small-details ethos that can make or break a pump for us. These details start with the steel barrel and base, which are welded together and eliminate the rickety feel of cheap, plastic pumps in favor of rock-solid stability. No ride should begin with a wobbly, topple-prone floor pump.

The Piston 4 has the same over-sized three-inch pressure gauge as other Piston models, but it situates that gauge at the top so it's even easier to read. The high volume design means it'll raise the needle faster than other Piston models, too, and its hose is a few inches longer than other members of the Piston family, which provides more leeway while you're chasing the valve stem around the rim. When you do catch the valve, Blackburn's AnyValve pump head is compatible with Presta, Schrader, and even Dunlop valves.
