Arguably the finest offset seatpost we sell, and certainly the most German, the AX-Lightness Daedalus Premium seatpost is precision-made in Bavaria to the most exacting standards, and its quality, and exceptionally low weight, are demonstrations of the obsessive engineering behind the company's processes.

Named for a skilled craftsman in Greek mythology, the Daedalus line is descended from the famously great AX2200 posts. It's an offset post design, meaning its construction is a bit more complex than the non-offset Europa line, but it's still refreshingly simple. The head and shaft tube is made of AX's pre-preg carbon fiber, a stress-optimized blend that is also internally butted to shave weight, and the clamping area is reinforced with more pliable Aramid fiber for resistance to damage via deformation under clamping forces. The yokes that grab your saddle's rails are made of aluminum, while the screws are titanium. The Daedalus Premium post's weight limit is 185lbs.
