Certified protection without the bulk.
Satisfying your desire for low-bulk protection on technical trails and enduro courses, the Alpinestars Evolution Long-Sleeve Jacket takes the brunt of nasty spills across consequential terrain. It's equipped with Level 1 CE-certified protection along the back, shoulders, and elbows for peace of mind when dropping into precipitously steep terrain. The certified back protector and sleeves are removable, so you can stay pleasantly cool and agile when extra protection isn't necessary.
This streamlined jacket effortlessly slides underneath your favorite jersey, so you don't stand out like some armored warrior on the trail. Stretch mesh conforms to your upper body while maximizing breathability, so you're never sweating profusely in warm conditions. Soft padding integrated into the chest and sides is always there when you need it, but without holding you back on the trail.
Smart design features offer functionality for storing your hydration bladder and routing the tube for convenient drinking. Alongside the back protector and hydration storage, two pockets make handy work of storing trail essentials, such as spare tubes, snacks, and extra gloves. Another notable feature, it's compatible with Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support (sold separately), so you'll be covered on the burliest trails and freeride terrain where falls carry serious consequences.

- How to Measure:
- For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
- Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
- Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
- Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
- Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

Best protective jacket I have used
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I have owned this jacket for 2 months and have used it for resort riding and racing. Here is my report
Sizing - I ordered a size up from normal (XXL) and was happy I did. At a size up it is just a little snug but comfortable.
Padding is well thought out. Elbow pads wrap around arm a little so it always feels like may forearm and elbow are covered. I have had a couple minor crashes and all has worked well.
I have used the water bladder feature. I like it. I can fit a small water bladder in back and barely notice it is there.
I have used the pockets in the kidney area to carry a multi tool and sometimes a little food.
Fabric is very breathable! This jacket is nowhere near as sweaty as any other jacket I have owned.
Wish sizing was more true to size.
Bigger neg (reason for only 4 stars)
This Jacket is only compatible with the bionic neck brace! The back padding is too thick to fit between back and a Leatte brace. I called Alpine Stars on this. I asked about trimming the foam to fit and whether that would compromise function. They would not comment -fair enough. When buying keep this in mind. At present, I am not wearing the back protector. For most if my riding I don't really need one. Having the option to remove it kicks ass!
