Save that old hoodie for the gym.

Alpinestars' All Mountain Men's Jacket has your back when the weather takes a turn. It might be lightweight, but the jacket packs a heavy punch when it comes to keeping you protected out there.

The technical waterproof outer shell was made from a ripstop material, which keeps your core shielded from the wind and rain. All seams have been tape sealed to further this protection factor, and water-resistant zippered vents provide you with ample airflow when things heat up.

The jacket was made with a regular, forgiving fit, which promotes a full range of motion while in the saddle. The All Mountain was finished off with a waterproof storm hood, two external pockets, and adjustable wrist and collar closures.

The Alpinestars All Mountain Jacket - Men's is available in sizes Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black, Black/cyan, Cool Grey/red, Cyan/red, and Lime Green/blue.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

Good packable MTB rain jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

This is a good packable mountain bike rain jacket. It's simple but it has the necessary features: longer in the back to block mud and tire spray, lightweight. Could be a bit more breathable but that's what you get with most rain jacets. Fits true to size.

Fits and function great

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I'm 6', slender build, 170 lbs and this jacket is perfect. It's not big and not too tight. Pockets are very useful and functions well. Waterproof. Not very breathable but not needed. Easy to pack away also. Hood is nice to have.

just right

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XXL

Nice and light, fit is good, and durable enough to get heavy scratches from pacific northwest blackberry and still look perfect. Water resistant, probably not totally water proof. But if it's raining hard enough to break thru this barrier, you're getting wet everywhere else too.

I'm 6'2" with 36" arms in dress shirts and the XXL fits great on and off the bike.

Not durable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It is more water resistant, and became saturated rather quickly, and also ripped rather easily during a crash. But it is light, and really breathable so not a bad choice to have in your back pocket.
