SL-70 Aero Carbon Handlebar

A little bit aero and a little bit road might be the best way to describe the new Zipp SL-70 Aero Carbon Handlebar. Building on the legacy of the VukaSprint, it features a carbon construction and distinctive shape built to take you to the top of the podium.

The SL-70 is constructed from unidirectional carbon fiber that has been shaped using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), which is the same software Zipp uses to design its hailed Firecrest wheels. And although the shaping of a handlebar seems inconsequential, Zipp actually discovered that you save approximately 6.4 watts at 30mph using an airfoil-shaped section in place of a traditional rounded section.

The SL-70s feature a 70mm reach, giving you proper control over your steering. A 128mm drop allows plenty of room to adjust hand position, and the drops sweep outward at a 4 degree angle to allow riders to tuck into an aerodynamic position with hands wrapped securely around the bars. A 10-degree ramp angle on the brake hood mount area of the bars eliminates the need to up-rotate them to achieve the correct brake hood position.

The Zipp SL-70 Aero Carbon Handlebar features a 31.8mm clamp section. It comes in four widths: 38cm, 40cm, 42cm, and 44cm and in the color Carbon.
