* Explained* Photo Issue Black 20mm Post
- I've put it through the wringer
Thanks for the feedback everyone Just clarifying the image issue on this product in regards to the variant "Black 20mm Post Mount" Please Note - Performance will be the same! ---You will receive a spacer kit that looks like the photo I have attached below. There is an image issue and you are being displayed the incorrect item.--- Also, here is an attached guide for install. ***REFER To the "POST MOUNT" Image*** https://www.servicearchive.sram.com/sites/default/files/techdocs/95-5018-000-000_rev_b_disc_brake_caliper_mounting.pdf

Confusing if you've never used before
My biggest gripe is that there is no instructions. Shouldn't be a big deal, it's just a brake adapter right? Having never done this before, I was expecting a simple spacer and a pair of washers and bolts. What I received was two bags of bolts each with different sized spacers. These are my brakes so I didn't want to figure it out through trial and error. After an hour searching on the web, I finally found the instructions (see below). Everything was pretty simple once I had the instructions, but they should have either included the two pages with the product or at least a link to help easily find them online! My second gripe is that it's ugly. I expected the clean brace looking one that I have on another bike, but per the instructions, that's OEM only for the 20mm spacer. Instead I have this bucket of bolts and spacers that looks like a hardware store DYI job. For anyone with my setup here are the cliff notes for a Yeti sb130 going from stock 180mm to 200mm with SRAM guide brakes: Use the parts in the bag marked standard. Longer spacer (12.5mm) and bolt (37.5mm) are used to mount the upper hole (where the brake hose connects) and shorter spacer (7.5mm) and bolt (32mm) are used for the lower hole (furthest from brake hose). If I'm running a 200mm rotor in the front and 180 mm in the rear, will this bracket fit both front and back? I have the sram code r for my brakes. And if so, which adapter should fit? Thanks.

Needed Items for Rotor Upgrade
My 2019 Santa Cruz Bronson V3 is the bomb! For my style of riding, it fits all my needs. In comparison to SRAM's Guide RSC brakes, the Codes are definitely better with lots of pucker power. Wanting more braking power, I decided to upgrade my rear rotor from to 200mm. It was obvious I needed 20mm to accommodate the larger rotor. To my disbelief, SRAM didn't include any instructions with the kit. Rather than seeing spacers of equaling 20 mm, the kit came with two separately sealed packets of spacers and washers. In each separate packet was a common 12.5mm spacer. But the separate packets also included a 7.5mm and 17.5mm spacer. Ok, I get it; not all bikes are manufactured the same. I emailed SRAM whether my assumptions about its fit were correct (Using spacers that align the caliper/brake pads to the larger rotor) To this day, SRAM still hasn't responded. (I also wrote to Santa Cruz and they didn't answer either). At any rate I chatted with a CC rep and he provided clarity on its mounting use. After mix and matching the spacers, I was able to align the brake pads to the rotor. Although 20mm doesn't seem like much, the difference in stopping power was instantly recognizable. Now I'm able to hit those steep and gnarly trails with a lot more confidence. Amazing! From CC's standpoint, they get 5 stars from me! However from SRAM's viewpoint, they get 4 stars due to their lack of instructions and responding to customer inquiries. If you're thinking of upgrading your SRAM/Avid rotors, this is the kit to buy. But beware: It doesn't come with mounting instructions. So you'll need to mix and match the spacers to determine which best aligns to the rotor.

SO what combination did you use? My rear is flat mounting at 160mm and going to 180mm with same kit.
