Training treats

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I started adding orange chews to my feedbag along with salted roasted almonds for my LSD rides, long slow distance. The sweet, sour and salty flavors are great together and a nice break from gel shots during any training ride or event.

Taste great!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I always take these with me on rides. They keep me energized and they are not overly chewy and are easy to digest. Extra bonus is they taste great.

Great for training!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Just enough to get me through the second hour of my weekday training ride. Also works great to eat a few 1/2 hour before leaving work to fuel me up for the ride home.

Good for hard training rides

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Size Bought: Orange Flavor

I have used these in races and hard training rides. They are not too sweet which is good when putting your body through the wringer. Good energy and simple ingredients. Keep the watts going!!

Raspberry gold

My affinity for Skratch Fruit Drops every time they take me from near-bonking back to clear-headed and hammering. I prefer the raspberry flavor which is just tart enough to be palatable on a hot day.

    Backed by science

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are pretty unique little drops. I've tried pretty much all of the other gummy products out there and these are by far my favorite! My favorite part about them is how you can bite clean into it and not get anything stuck in your teeth. It makes it much easier to eat while you are in desperate need of energy. The taste is also flavorful without being overpowering. This is crucial on those hot days.

    Love My Skratch Drops :)

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love these Skratch drops. I like how the texture is different from all other gummy chews if you're one to let the gummy dissolve and not devour the drops right away. I like how the taste isn't overwhelming and how Skratch products work well with my digestive system. Give these a try!

    Ride candy.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The taste isn't overwhelming, which is a definite plus on long days in high temperatures. Plus, rooting out gummy bits stuck between teeth and in molars gives you something to do for those two hour climbs.

    Great Flavor; hard to chew

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am a big fan of these; the have a great flavor that is easy to put down when you're in the pain cave!

My only complaint is that they are a bit harder to chew and swallow than some others, but it's a pretty small issue; they are certainly easier to eat than the Powerbar Gel Blasts!

great product, but gets stale fast

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love the slightly sour tang in contrast to similar products which tend to be overly sweet. Very easy on my stomach. I found very hard to get out of the pouch whether new or stale. Got stale months before the expiration date - still edible, but very stiff and extremely sticky once you started to eat - like tear out fillings sticky.

    Not as sweet

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This chew comes with good science behind it. I certainly does not have the sweet taste like the Stinger chews. They have a sugar like coating on the outside that I did not care for much. I need more time with them to really find out if they work for me.

    Awesomeness

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Skratch Labs chews hit on all cylinders -- taste, texture, and effectiveness. Considerably less sweet than most anything else on the market, and these feature a subtle hint of salt.

    Great Taste

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are a great backpacking snack, great flavor and didn't melt in the heat. Both Raspberry and Orange were really really good!

Great product with sub-par shelf life

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love these except I stocked up on a sale and found they started to get hard and stale after 6-8 weeks and very hard after 12 weeks - which was long before the expiration date. Still tasted fine and absolutely no spoilage, just an effort to chew and a risk of tearing my fillings out since they were so sticky.

    Excellent product

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So Skratch specializes in energy and hydration, in a way with less sugar and more electrolytes which is nice. Coming from using some other brands out there, after trying these, I thought I'd pick some up for a trip I had coming up. I prefer chews over gels and most all of what I have tried and used seems to be overly sweet. Having a gel is almost like taking a scoop of sugary peanut butter and trying to swallow it. Other chews can be excessively chewy and sweet at the same time. These things were great at not being overly sweet (some salt) or chewy and at providing some energy without being overly sweet, or excessively chewy. My buddy had some of a competitor and after he tried these, we were using solely these for the rest of the trip. I highly recommend any of the flavors, give them a try, you will probably not use anything else after.

    This is science

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Skratch knows what its doing when it comes to replacing electrolytes. They are founded by one of the worlds leading scientists on athletic nutrition. Their fruit drops do it again. They are less sweet and offer a higher moisture content. That allows your body to better absorb the goodness in each drop.

    Delicious

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are great - I much prefer energy chews to gels, but most of them are too sweet. That's not a problem with these. They're just sweet enough to be enticing on a hard ride, and the flavor is great.

A snack for all types of marathons

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Have you ever marveled at the unconditional enthusiasm your puppy demonstrates every time you enter the room, whether you've been gone 5 minutes or 5 days? I used to dream of being that excited about something. But now I am! Skratch Labs have made the world's first perfect fruit snack. Call it an energy chew if you like, because it does indeed give you a solid shot of carbs, sugars, and sodium when you're hitting a wall on the trail, but I could eat a case(maybe even two) of these while binge watching Netflix on a cold and rainy Sunday night. I guess you could say they are the perfect marathon food, whether that marathon involves running or not.
