My thin 67 year old wife rides thousands of miles with me as my tandem stoker. He seat is a moderately padded split women's Selle. She often gets excessive pressure on her ischial bones on rides over 30 miles. We will ride 45- 75 miles and up to 110 each year. A friend of similar stature recommended Pearl Izumi. These fit to size and have thicker firm padding than most. So far on two 50+ mile rides she's had no discomfort. Happy wife happy tandem life! Note that we tried 2 other styles which were 20% tighter than every other brand in a small. She literally couldn't get them over her thin thighs. She owns at least 8 other pairs in small...
