Description

Skip the greasy sunscreen slather.

As cyclists, we spend our dreary winter days craving the sunny days of summer, and while we love the feeling of warm sunshine casting its glow on us in spring, come July the sweltering oppression of a cloudless day can take its toll on our skin. Thankfully we have options, like the Pearl Izumi Sun Sleeves that offer us full coverage without slathering ourselves with sunscreen, and with the addition of cooling properties that keep us cool.

The sleeves are constructed from Pearl's ELITE Transfer fabric with a full 50+ UPF of sun protection to shield your skin, plus Ice-fil and In-R-Cool technology that reflect heat, and elevate moisture transfer, keeping you as cool as possible on the hottest of days. The sleeves are easy to slide on, and lock into place on your bicep with a gripper, so you won't end up with an unsightly sunburned gap between your jersey and sleeves after a long day on the bike.

  • Sun sleeves that shade your arms on blistering days
  • 50+ UPF protection covers your skin without sunscreen
  • In-R-Cool technology elevates skin cooling with moisture management
  • Secure gripper doesn't slip while riding

These are good sun sleeves with one flaw

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had these sun sleeves for a few years now and they are very good in that they keep my arms protected from the sun and don't feel too hot. The one complaint I have about these is that the seam at the upper band can sometimes be a little irritating. It's not a very big deal, but occasionally I have to fiddle with them to keep that stitching from itching.

very impressed

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: large

I have ridden for decades but would not have even looked at them twice if a tumor on my forearm not put me through 25 days of radiation last winter. (then there was the surgery but we need not go into that here). My radiologist said the sun may not touch the treatment area again so long as you live. So I stocked up on sun shirts which are not great for cycling. Then I thought of cycling arm warmers and found these coolers here. Not only are these 50 spf!! but this fabric actually does cool some how. I am wondering why I don't wear them on both arms. RB

Wish I had bought these sooner!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

These sleeves are great for long summer rides when you will be out longer than two hours. They let your arms breath. I felt cooler with these than when I just use sun screen. I need them in more colors than white and black.

So many perks

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

After a second degree sunburn this year that has taken 3 weeks to heal, I bought these for today's 75 mile ride. They are so comfy, don't budge or roll, and kept me cool. Everyone complained about the heat, and I felt great. Unexpected perk: Less Sweat!

Work as expected

  • Fit: True to size

Save some money on sunblock and get these sleeves, they work as expected!

These sleeves are great, I followed the size chart and worked for me, the length was spot on, great product.
