It's so light and packable that we take it on every ride, and it's actually comfortable to wear when we pull it out. A DWR treatment repels moisture and the stretch-woven fabric enhances breathability.

Solid Choice for Regular Use

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
6' 1"

I've had a few chances to use this jacket and it's not perfect for me but it's a solid choice for regular use. I'll be wearing it on chilly mornings that turn into warm days and keeping it on the bike for emergency use as it packs down quite well. Mine packs down differently from the image, it stows in a small pouch on inside tail of the jacket. It comes to a similar size but has an elastic strap to hang it on your bike which is fantastic. Features are all minimal but well thought out. Cuffs have elastic and are cut to cover your wrists when stretched out, there's a 2 way zip to vent heat, logos are reflective, and the hood rolls up to prevent flapping. It's got 2 pockets - one on the inside tail and a zippered one on the chest. The width and position of the zipper make that chest pocket annoying to access. I haven't had the chance to abuse the jacket but have used models with similar material from Bontrager and Backcountry so I know it'll be durable for a lightweight jacket but will rip eventually if you're doing some bushwhacking. Pearl Izumi stuff is generally well made so you won't have to worry about broken zips and tearing seams. Light moisture will bead off with the DWR coating but it's a wind jacket, not a rain jacket. Fit is slim - not full on roadie slim, but you'll want to go up a size if you're an enduro rider and want a baggy fit. It's got a long tail and short front to fit well on a bike and while the fit is functional, if it had a more casual cut I'd wear it daily off the bike.
