To give the Select Softshell Lite glove its durable, warming construction, Pearl Izumi strategically placed various materials around the glove. The back of the hand has been made from the exclusive Select Softshell Lite fabric. This material provides wind and water resistance where the elements' assault against the hand is at its strongest. The palm uses Pearl's Select Thermal Lite fabric to wick away moisture and to distribute warmth throughout the glove. For a secure grip, the Select glove features a silicone screen print along the palm and shift/brake lever fingers. Given that these are the points of abrasion and stress on the glove, Izumi added a durable, synthetic leather reinforcement.

Pearl's integration of proprietary fabrics provides a total protection without a bulky feel or weight. For easy on-and-off, the glove uses a slip-on design that's been accentuated by a gripper cuff.
